This high-impact role requires strategic leadership to develop and manage corporate sales and used car operations, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability in a competitive market.
The Role
- Promote, develop, and manage Corporate, Direct, Special Sales and Used Car activities to maximise business opportunities.
- Evaluate market potential, identify priority opportunities, and develop mid-to-long-term strategies in collaboration with area management teams.
- Oversee inventory management, pricing strategies, and the implementation of the used car full-circle process to optimise operations across domestic and international markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with importers, dealers, and suppliers, ensuring alignment and fostering growth opportunities.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and achievement metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve performance.
- Track competitor actions and develop effective strategies to maintain market competitiveness.
- Develop impactful retail sales campaigns tailored to corporate and used car channels.
- Manage VIP, corporate, and special customer groups such as diplomats, government officials, and royalty, ensuring excellent service and alignment with corporate standards.
Our Ideal Candidate
- 6-8 years in a similar role within the automotive industry, dealership, fleet management, or used car market. You must have OEM experience, although a mix of OEM and retail would be advantageous.
- Has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and profitability management, including profit and loss accounts and balance sheets.
- Proven ability to lead successful negotiations with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills with a results-driven mindset.
- An entrepreneurial and proactive approach to business development, with well-honed stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
- Currently working within the GCC.

Our client is hiring a Head of Retail Sales to lead their new car sales operations across the United Arab Emirates.
You will be responsible for direct report Sales Managers at their dealerships in the UAE with a focus on sales process and strategies to drive new car sales volumes in a changing retail market where there is a shift from traditional brands to emerging EV and Asian brands.
Requirements
- Currently working in the UAE or Saudi Arabia as Head of Sales
- Managing Sales Managers across multiple sales locations
- Managed high volume sales in excess of 3,000 new car sales per year
- Experience of growing sales units with a volume or prestige brand
- Extensive senior sales leadership experience in passenger car dealerships
- The group are not considering regional office applicants, General Managers or Sales & Marketing Managers
